Year on year, the reward, both financial and honourable and by virtues of opportunity, has increased for The Newbery Arts Prize. This year is no exception…
Taking in to account all the factors that equate to the total original offering by Francis Henry Newbery we calculated the sum to be £17,830…
…so we’ve rounded it up to £25,000…
…for the winner of each discipline. That’s £75,000 or approximately $100,000 at the time of the launch.
Furthermore, there will be 303 finalists, 101 from each of the disciplines. All the finalists will be exhibited…
…around the world.
The Exhibition Tour
We have plans in place for a truly spectacular world touring exhibition in some of the world’s most prestigious galleries. London, Paris, New York, Mumbai, Beijing, Glasgow and finally back to Newbery’s Home town on the south coast of England, Bridport in Dorset.
However, (and we are sure that you’ll all understand this bit), because of the current viral pandemic, we are not going to be able to confirm any of the galleries in any of the countries with a whole year ahead of us. Please be very aware that, just like you, we are monitoring the entire global situation and making plans accordingly.
